Er zijn verschillen in de natuurlijke omstandigheden die niet mogen worden onderschat. In het uiterste zuiden bijvoorbeeld biedt de Eisenberg met zijn bijzondere bodem en een vleugje Stiermarkse frisheid in het klimaat de beste voorwaarden voor Blaufr\u00e4nkisch voor rode wijnen van de
