Moezel wijngebied<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Het gebied vertegenwoordigt het grootste wijnbouwgebied op steile hellingen ter wereld en, met meer dan 5.300 ha, het grootste teeltgebied voor riesling ter wereld. In 2012 werd in de regio 669.125 hl wijn geproduceerd. De steilste wijngaard ter wereld is de Bremmer Calmont met een helling van ongeveer 65 graden. In veel gevallen overheerst nog steeds de sinds de Romeinse tijd bekende enkelpolige teelt of Moselpfahlerziehung, maar die wordt ook op de steile hellingen geleidelijk vervangen door moderne draadsystemen. De bodems in het Moezelwijngebied bestaan uit leisteen (Saar, Ruwer, Midden- en Benedenmoezel) en schelpkalk (Bovenmoezel). De Mosel-Saar-Ruwer wijnbroederschap werd opgericht in 1967.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
