Wijngebied Wenen<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wijnbouw in de grote stad? Vaak zijn dit showwijngaarden als toeristische attractie. Maar Wenen is anders. Hier zijn 612 hectare wijngaarden een essenti\u00eble economische factor, dienen ze voor het behoud van de groene gordel en vormen ze de basis voor een hoge wijnkwaliteit. Al in de late middeleeuwen stonden er binnen de stadsmuren van Wenen ook wijngaarden tot in het huidige eerste district, maar tegenwoordig ligt het zwaartepunt van de wijnbouw in de buitenwijken aan de rand van de stad: de terreinen op de Bisamberg ten noorden van de Donau – bebouwd door wijnboeren uit Strebersdorf, Stammersdorf en Jedlersdorf – zijn gunstig voor de Bourgogne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
